Swedish Prison and Probation Service is Growing – We Are Expanding!

We are now looking for more employees. Our main goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transportation.

The section for deferred conditional release at the headquarters in Norrköping consists of about 15 employees and belongs to the legal department of the headquarters. The section is expanding with several positions due to new legislation in the area of deferred conditional release that will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The main task of the section is to make decisions in centrally placed client cases. Currently, this involves cases of deferred conditional release and cases concerning victim information when clients have protected personal data. Relevant categories may be broadened in the near future. We provide advice and support to other operations and participate in the agency's practice-coordinating activities. The section collaborates with other functions within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and represents the agency in court regarding the cases handled by the section.
